The Critical Reason to Protect Your Skin From The Sun Every Day

UV Protection is Essential

Proper UV care is invaluable for so many reasons. First and foremost, it can protect you from the serious dangers of skin cancer. Secondly, it can keep your complexion looking fresh, smooth and young. If you’re unhappy about the idea of developing age spots, sagging, wrinkles, fine lines and discoloration, then you should be on a never-ending mission to find the best sunscreen for face. Good UV care is essential for healthy and attractive skin that looks great and feels great.

The Best Sunscreens Around

The prominent French brand Clarins has a vast selection of quality UV protection products. A couple notable examples include the Sunscreen For Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 50+ and the UV Plus Anti-Pollution Multi-Protection SPF 50. As you can see, Clarins produces sunblock products that cover many diverse needs. If you want to ensure youthful and resilient looking skin, the former product may be absolutely perfect for your needs. If you want to protect your skin from pollution and resulting free radical destruction, however, the latter may be the best choice for you. Regardless of the specific functions of sunscreen products, however, their goals are often extremely similar: to protect your face from UVA and UVB ray harm.

Body Sunblock is Important, Too

Although facial sunscreens are important, body sunscreens are nothing to ignore, either. Body sunscreens are just as important for keeping skin healthy and young looking. You should apply sunscreen 365 days of the year no matter what you’re doing, whether you’re visiting the beach for a relaxing day off or simply running around the city taking care of quick errands. A great body sunscreen is Supergoop! Sun-Defying Sunscreen Oil Broad Spectrum SPF 50+. Not only does this formula offer A+ skin defense, but it’s also packed in antioxidants that can keep your skin in great condition. It also consists of highly nurturing and moisturising argan oils. If you’re reluctant to apply sunscreen products that have heavy and oily textures, you’ll adore this sunscreen oil. It’s simultaneously non-greasy and lightweight.

Protecting Your Skin With Clothing and Accessories

Strong UV protection isn’t only about sunscreen. It can also involve your attire. If you want to shield your skin from the hazards of the sun, wearing a wide-brimmed hat can often be extremely effective. Many hats even come with built-in UV protection. Wearing long-sleeved clothing and long pants can help. Sunglasses that are equipped with reliable UV protection are also beneficial. When you wear sunglasses, they help prevent you from squinting your eyes while out in the sun. They, in turn, can be effective for keeping wrinkles and fine lines by the eyes out of your life.

A Commitment to UV Protection

UV protection isn’t something you only need to do occasionally. It’s something that should be a way of life. If you neglect wearing sunscreen in the middle of the winter just because you’ve seen hotter and brighter days, you’re doing your complexion a major disservice. Wear sunblock every day no matter what you’re doing. Your skin will thank you.

The 4 Best All-Natural Anti-Aging Treatments

Step into any cosmetics retailer today and you will be inundated with a wide range of anti-aging products. There are serums, oils, lotions, creams, exfoliating mixtures, herbs, gels, and powders. Some of these products use organic ingredients sourced from exotic plants, while other laboratory-made products tout cutting-edge curative properties. The following anti-aging treatments offer four all-natural ways to stop the hands of time from prematurely aging your skin. Most importantly, all of the anti-aging options listed below are extremely affordable, and will work well no matter what your budget is.

Apply Sesame Oil to Your Skin

Although sesame has long been popular in the kitchen, it has also gained steam in recent months as massage oil. This is because sesame oil is jam packed with plenty of nurturing antioxidants. These antioxidants rid the body of harmful free radicals and other toxins. These toxins and free radicals reduce the skin’s elastin and collagen, two chemicals that keep the skin smooth, soft-to-the-touch, and resilient against sun damage.

For best results, natural skincare experts suggest rubbing sesame oil over your entire body after your morning shower. This ensures that your skin will remain protected all day long. Sesame oil will also nourish your body with much-needed Vitamin E.

Don’t Forget Your Fish Oil Tablets

In Asian countries, fish oil has been used for centuries to keep people healthy and strong. In terms of its anti-aging properties, fish oil will give your skin a healthy sheen. Besides the glow, several scientific studies show that taking fish oil tablets everyday lowers the risk of several age-related diseases and conditions. These include arthritis, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and chronic joint pain.

Stay Away from Refined and Processed White Sugar

Regular consumption of processed sugar has been linked to skin problems, wrinkles, stress lines, as well as a whole host of terrible diseases and conditions. Why is eliminating sugar from your diet such an effective anti-aging treatment, you ask? Well, processed sugar contains fructose, an inflammatory chemical that the body turns into fat cells. These excess fat cells promote faster aging, degenerative skin, heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes.

Several skincare studies also show that people who have eliminated sugar from their diets look younger for a longer period of time than people who include refined sugar in what they eat.
Seek Out Antioxidant-Rich Food

Like sesame oil, antioxidants like Vitamin C and Vitamin E promote collagen growth. Collagen keeps the skin firm, fresh, and wrinkle-free. A study conducted in 2007 suggests that people who ate diets rich in vitamins and other antioxidants had less dry skin and fewer lines and wrinkles than people who did not seek out vitamin-rich food.

People who are interested in using antioxidants to prevent age-related conditions like heart disease will be pleased to know that the anti-aging properties of antioxidants extend to disease fighting, too. More specifically, a number of published medical studies indicate that people who eat fruits and vegetables suffer from fewer old age conditions.

The Daily Skincare Routine Every 30-Somethings Should Start

As you grow older, your skin changes. Your complexion may become dull and your skin may lose its elasticity. It may show lines and evidence of sun damage. There is no better time to start a skin care routine than when you hit your 30s. The skin has special needs once a person reaches 30. You are advised to use certain products once you reach your 30s to help keep it looking great into your 50s and 60s.

Daily Skin Care Regimen

One of the first steps to take in your daily skincare routine is to start using sun block or moisturizer with at least SPF 15 every day. Even minimal sun exposure can have visible negative effects on the appearance of your skin.

Prolonged sun exposure without skin protection may lead to the development of age spots later in life. Be sure to buy a daily moisturizer that contains antioxidants like vitamin C and E or tocopherol. Other beneficial additives that your skin care product should contain include selenium and green tea extracts. Take at least two cups of tea a day to give your body the antioxidants it needs to keep off the effects of aging.

Wash your face at least twice a day and avoid wearing makeup to bed. Be sure to use a toner or moisturizer after cleansing to remove dirt and dead skin as well as replenish nutrients and moisture. Consider buying moisturizers with anti-aging additives to restore your skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Use an exfoliating scrub two or three times a week. This will help clear dead skin cells and smoothen your skin while eliminating dull complexion to give your skin a youthful appearance.

Weekly Skin Care Requirements

If you have sensitive skin, consider using a chemical peel containing glycolic acid to restore the skin’s healthy glow. In addition, use a night cream or serum containing retinol, a form of vitamin A.

Retinol is a complex vitamin and an antioxidant that can clear wrinkles caused by the effects of free radicals. It speeds up the formation of new skin cells. As your skin ages, the wrinkles and dullness it can exhibit may be the result of decreased formation of new skin cells. Retinol has the effect of making skin look younger and fresh. Therefore, consider buying skincare products that contain retinol.

Quarterly and Yearly Skin Care Advice

Visit Nature Republic in Malaysia annually to be checked for skin cancer. With each seasonal change, get a professional opinion on your facial and current skin care needs. Many dermatologists will recommend extra moisture in winter and a lighter moisturizer during summer. Botox and intense pulsed light treatments can help erase sunspots and broken blood vessels.

When you are in your 30s, you need skincare products that can help prevent wrinkles and age spots. People in their 30s have fewer problems with ace and need skin care products that will moisturize their skin and keep it looking youthful all through their 30s. There are many skin care products in the market. However, when shopping for a skin care product, be sure to pick one that contains several important skin nourishing ingredients.

Around fifty years of age, many men and women begin to notice changes in their skin pigment. Dark and light spots begin to emerge creating a different palate. For some reason, dark spots begin to appear. Our face and neck being the first place people see when they look at us, needs to be clear and smooth looking. Women and men are always searching for things to help with toning down the dark spots and clearing up the new age of acne.

Below are a couple ways to slow down changes to skin naturally:

Lemon Juice: Cleanse your face every morning and night. Use natural or organic soap and warm water. Always use a white wash cloth to wash your face. Never wash with a colored cloth because you may be transferring dye to your skin. After washing face, use straight lemon juice to the dark spots. This will help lighten the spots, giving your face a more youthful appearance. Make sure to use a light cream to the face daily to help moisturize the skin.

Egg whites: Egg whites are a natural protein that will help pull dirt and oil from the pores. It also helps in tightening the skin. To use an egg white mask you first must wash your face with warm water to open pores. Rub on the egg white and allow it to dry on your face. Ever heard of “egg on your face”? When the egg is dry wash it off. Your face will feel smooth and appear tighter.

Natural Exfoliate: Mix together granulated sugar, water, and pure olive oil. This is a natural way to cleanse your face and remove old dry skin. After washing, rinse your face with cool water and moisturize.

Men and women want their face and neck to appear as good as it did when they were twenty. Costly plastic surgery and face scrubs aren’t always the last resort. Women and men can find natural remedies to assist with signs of aging. The products should be natural without chemicals or dyes. Before going to the spa or a plastic surgeon, check out the grocery aisle for products to support your face health and decrease skin pigmentation issues. For more on reducing spots, consult experts at Shakura.

New York Skin Solutions – 5 Easiest Skin Care Tips

Taking care of your skin is just as important as taking care of any other part of your body. With so many products that promise improvement, however, it can be difficult to find out what you really need to do. Fortunately, there are some fairly simple methods you can use as told by specialists from New York Skin Solutions:

1. Keep your skin moist

Make sure not to have it too wet, however. Keeping it wet all the time can be just as damaging as keeping it dry. To avoid damage, use warm water instead of hot when you bathe or shower. You should also limit the amount of time you spend in the tub. To combat dry skin, you should drink at least six glasses of water each day and use a moisturizer that fits your skin’s needs. Make sure to massage it in rather than just dabbing it on.

2. Eat right

The best foods for your skin are rich with vitamin C or lean proteins since they can actually help reduce wrinkles. This means that you should eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Small amounts of dark chocolate can also help since chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants.

3. Avoid UV damage

This can be done by avoiding the sun when it’s at its highest or by covering yourself with sunscreen. You should make sure that your sunscreen is at least an SPF 15, and you should also reapply it once every two hours. If you’re swimming or sweating, then reapply it each hour.

4. Stay away from cigarettes

Smoking is a top cause for almost every major form of skin damage or premature aging from wrinkles to loss of collagen, so the best thing to do is keep from smoking. If you already smoke, then you should quit as soon as possible.

5. Keep stress out of your life

Stress makes you skin very sensitive, which can trigger uncontrollable breakouts. The best ways to avoid stress include taking time to relax and do enjoyable things, not exhausting yourself when you work, and doing some form of exercise at least once a day.

Five Simple Ways to Get Smooth Skin

Let’s face it: most of us were not born with perfect skin. Even the seemingly flawless complexions of the models you see in magazines have often been photoshopped. You might not have a host of makeup artists and photo editors at your disposal, but you can still get the illusion of smooth skin by following these five easy tips:

1. Exfoliate. Even if you are not prone to breakouts, there’s a good chance you might notice small bumps when you look closely in the mirror. These typically occur when the skin your face naturally sheds gets stuck in your pores and blocks them.

An easy way to avoid this is by exfoliating. Chemical exfoliants such as creams containing alpha hydroxy acids can help remove the dull top layer of skin that is clogging your pores. If you’re on a budget, you can make your own exfoliator by mixing sugar with a little bit of honey and scrubbing your face with it.

Smooth Skin2. Moisturise. If you want to know how to get smooth skin, this is one of the best ways to go about it. Using moisturiser religiously can go a long way towards keeping flakes and dryness at bay (popular hydrating skincare products: Hydraquench). Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you don’t need moisturiser if your skin is oily; sometimes your skin creates excess oil when you skip moisturiser. Face oils are a fantastic alternative to regular moisturiser and depending on your skin type, probably works for very dry skin, Santal Face Treatment Oil can be an ideal alternative too. If you are taking a stab at treating oily skin, consider adding Lotus Face Treatment Oil into your beauty kit then.

You can turn to one of the many moisturisers on the market, most of which are geared toward a particular skin type such as dry, oily, balanced, or acne-prone. In addition, you can try natural oils such as jojoba, grape seed, or sweet almond oil.

3. Use a primer. Despite your best skincare efforts, there will be days when your skin simply isn’t as smooth as you’d like it to be. You can fake the look of smooth skin using a product known as a makeup primer.

A makeup primer is a special liquid that you can apply to your face after moisturising. It contains silicones that help fill in lines and wrinkles and smooth over bumps and other imperfections. Let it dry for a few minutes to create a smooth canvas for the rest of your makeup. Your foundation will glide right on and the overall appearance will be flawless, smooth skin.

4. Drink lots of water. The first thing many people are told when they ask how to get smooth skin is to drink more water. Many complexion problems can be alleviated or even solved by increasing your water intake. The skin is the body’s biggest organ, and it needs to be hydrated to perform its job of flushing out toxins.

Dry skin is more prone to lines and wrinkles, which is why you need to hydrate your skin from the inside out. Eight eight-ounce glasses per day are a good starting point, but you might need slightly more if you live in a hot or dry climate.

5. Hands off! Although it might be tempting to pick at pimples or extract blackheads, touching your face is a quick way to ensure you won’t have the smooth skin you crave. If this is a problem for you, avoid looking at your skin in a magnifying mirror or under bright light, which will only amplify your flaws.

When you have a breakout, don’t touch it! Apply a benzoyl peroxide cream and leave it alone so it can heal naturally. This will help the skin return to normal a lot more quickly.

With these five easy tips, you can solve the age-old problem of how to get smooth skin and have a complexion that rivals even the most flawless faces in magazine ads!

What To Expect From Facial Laser Treatments

Evidence of aging skin includes lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes and forehead. This is often caused by smoking, genetics, too much sun exposure and your age. Collagen is responsible for keeping wrinkles and fine lines to a minimum. As you age, your skin produces less collagen than when you were younger. Laser skin surfacing can improve the way your skin looks and remove wrinkles. Customized laser treatments will address your specific skin issues. The laser can pinpoint small areas on the face such as acne or other scars. Abnormal skin pigmentation can also be treated with the use of facial laser treatments.

How Laser Facial Treatment Works

Revlite lasers work by directing beams of light directly on the problem area of the skin. This removes the top layer of skin and encourages healing. Your skin responds by increasing the production of collagen. If you have acne or other injury scars, wrinkles and lines, then you may be a candidate for laser facial treatment.

What to Expect

The medical professional will want a complete medical history. You may be asked to discontinue medications such as ibuprofen and aspirin.

Your vital signs will be taken to ensure you are healthy enough for the procedure. If you are a smoker, you may be asked to quit a few weeks before your appointment.

Quit Smoke

Your medical professional may use general anesthesia or topical anesthesia depending upon the type of treatment. You will be given instructions on how to care for your skin after your appointment. It takes approximately three weeks for your skin to heal completely and you see results. Ask your medical professional any questions you may have before your procedure. Follow your doctors instructions by using specific products that are recommended after your treatment is over.

Skin Care Tips

Once you have your facial laser procedure complete, you will want to take good care of your skin to prevent future damage. Limit the amount of time you spend in the sun. If you must go out, then wear a hat with a wide brim to keep the rays off your face.

Wear a hat with a wide brim

Protect your skin by wearing clothing with long sleeves, pants and long skirts. Avoid tanning in commercial tanning beds to prevent sun damage. Reapply sunscreen often while exercising or swimming outdoors.

Nutrition for the Skin

Healthy nutrition ensures your skin gets the vitamins it needs for good health. Include fresh vegetables, fruits and lean protein in your diet each day. It is important to drink enough water to stay hydrated. Avoid drinks with a lot of caffeine such as sodas. Eat a healthy breakfast each morning to give you enough energy to last until lunch.

Eat a healthy breakfast

Take snacks to work that are healthy like nuts, granola bars and dry cereal. If you have time at lunch, consider going for a short walk to energize your body. Eat a light dinner that does not make you feel bloated and uncomfortable. A healthy diet will go a long way in making you look younger.

6 Methods You Can Use to Prevent Sweaty Palms

When you are someone who has to deal with sweaty palms, it can be very frustrating. There are so many situations where sweaty hands can be a pain. When you are on a date with someone you love, it can make you wary of holding hands. If you are interviewing for a new job, palm sweat can make you afraid to shake hands. Fortunately, there are many ways you can prevent your palms from getting so sweaty. Here are six of the best methods you can use to prevent sweaty palms.

1. Use a Baking Soda Soak

If you haven’t learned this yet, baking soda is one of the most versatile products imaginable. You should always have some baking soda in your home, and it can make a very effective remedy for preventing palm sweat. To use it, simply mix some a couple tablespoons of baking soda in a container of warm water. Soak your hands for 15 minutes in this mixture. This treatment has a cumulative effect, which means it will grow more effective over time if you do it every day.

2. Drinking Tomato Juice

Tomato juice is one of the healthiest juices you can drink. It is very good for preventing your palms from sweating. This works because tomato juice helps to lower your body temperature. If you drink tomato juice every day, you will find that your palms stay dry since your body temperature will not get high enough to make you sweat.

3. Make Hand Sanitizer Your Constant Companion

If you want to make sure that you never have to deal with sweaty palms in a social situation, you should never leave home without a travel bottle of hand sanitizer in your pocket. The main ingredient in hand sanitizer is alcohol. Alcohol dries out your skin. If you notice that your hands are a little sweaty, simply rub some hand sanitizer on them. The alcohol will dry out your palms and keep them dry.

4. Use an Antiperspirant

When you want to make sure that your hands stop bothering you with their sweaty nature, one of the most effective methods you can use to keep them dry is to apply antiperspirant on them. You may not have thought about it, but the same ingredients in antiperspirant that you use on your underarms will also work on your palms. You want to make sure that you use an invisible antiperspirant so that there is no residue left on your hands. If you find that your regular antiperspirant is not strong enough to keep your palms dry, you can see your family doctor to get a prescription-strength antiperspirant.

5. Lower Your Stress Levels

One of the dominant factors that creates sweat is stress. If you want to keep your palms from sweating so much, one of the best things you can do is to perform activities that lower your stress levels. Getting regular exercise is one of the best ways to reduce stress. Yoga in particular is one of the best forms of exercise for reducing stress. Massage, meditation and acupuncture can also help keep you stress-free.

Reduce your stress level

6. Sage Tea

While the taste is not for everyone, many people have found good results drinking sage tea to prevent sweatiness. Drinking just a few cups of sage tea per week can keep your palms sweat-free.

Sweaty hands can be very annoying, but they do not have to ruin your life. If you experiment with these six treatments, you will be able to find a treatment that can keep your hands dry. The key is to keep looking until you find the right treatment to suit your needs.

Skin Whitening for the Body: Treatment Options for Every Body

Smooth and creamy skin has become an integral element when it comes to beauty. Blemishes, uneven pigmentation, and other aesthetic issues all detract from the natural glow of the skin. Individuals who want to unleash the true radiance of their skin are beginning to explore the potential of skin whitening for the body. In the past, bleaching, harsh chemicals, and sub-par creams were the approaches people took to skin whitening. The science dedicated to this process has advanced considerably, allowing people to have a number of safe and effective treatments at their disposal that produce real results. By exploring the following cosmetic treatments, you can increase the attractiveness of your skin in addition to smoothing its surface and reducing the appearance of scars.

The Goals

Every skin-whitening treatment available on the market today concentrates its efforts on two aspects of the skin. The procedures are meant to increase the UV-rays absorbed by the skin while also curtailing the darkening of the skin as this process occurs.

Additionally, these procedures reduce the production of melanin. The decrease in this substance aides the consistency of skin pigmentation when it comes to darkening over time. There are many different factors that go into choosing the proper procedure for skin whitening, all of which can be discussed with a dermatologist.

They will consider elements such as the shade of your skin, the amount of pigmentation and damage present in the skin, and the number of treatments that are optimal for your goals. While some procedures are great for single treatments, it is not unusual for doctors to suggest a combination of treatments in order to attain the best results.

The Potential of Light

Laser-skin resurfacing is a common approach to this aesthetic concern that uses a series of laser beams in order to achieve whitening. The laser is concentrated so that it sends short, pulsating beams of light into the area of concern. As the under layers of the skin are heated, the top layer of the epidermis is actually removed. Once these affects take place, the growth of fresh collagen fibers are stimulated.

The skin that forms is new, lighter, and smoother. This approach is the most beneficial for patients who are experiencing extremely uneven skin tone, hypo-pigmentation, or wish to reduce acne scars. It is also very effective for skin tones that include a considerable amount of yellow and gray pigments. It can be used on the entire face, aiding the complexion as a whole.

Physical Removal

Dermabrasion is a popular recommendation for patients who wish to see skin whitening along with the removal of deeply-set wrinkles. During this procedure, the top layer of skin is removed using a rotating brush. Once the epidermis has been totally removed, the formation of new skin cells results in a whiter tone that is more even. This treatment carries additional advantages by reducing the appearance of scars and areas of pronounced discoloration.

Peeling Promise

There are a wealth of chemical peels that are designed for home use. However, the most apparent results for whitening using this approach are always achieved in the clinical setting. The peels used by dermatologists are much stronger than those mixtures that are available over the counter. This process actually burns off the top layer of skin in order to achieve whitening.

The specific types of chemicals that are used depend on the skin type and the goals for the patients. Whitening that also removes wrinkles while evening skin tone typically incorporates glycol and hydroxy acids. Salicyclic acid is more appropriate for patients that also would like to see damage from the sun erased, including age spots and acne. The deepest peel uses Phenol. This process can be utilized on the entire face in order to erase severe damage from the sun or eliminate deep wrinkles while also whitening.

4. Lotion Bar

Keep your hands and body moisturized on the go with this homemade lotion bar recipe. You can even take these on the airplane without taking up space in your 3-1-1 bag.

This homemade lotion recipe is so easy—you can make it in your slow cooker. Mix equal parts beeswax bars, shea butter and coconut oil together. Add two tablespoons of Vitamin E oil. Keep your slow cooker clean by lining it with a slow cooker liner—that way you won’t have wax ending up in your next slow cooker stew. Turn the slow cooker on to high heat and wait an hour. Once the ingredients are liquid, transfer the liquid to silicon muffin liners, using a ladle. Pop the muffin liners into the refrigerator, and after a few hours, you’ll have homemade lotion bars.

5. Lip Scrub and Balm

Keep your lips as soft as the rest of your skin by making a homemade lip balm. Using a double boiler, melt one tablespoon beeswax, one tablespoon coconut oil, a dash of honey and the contents of two Vitamin E capsules into the pan. Once the ingredients have melted, transfer into small tins and let cool.
